Ep. 46 Part 1 Fifteen Business Laws You Should Know

Happy New Year to you all! I’ve been busy with a home remodel and I released my 2nd book, “Go Own Yourself” which is available on Amazon from this link.

Today in the start of a 3 part series, I’ll be talking about the 15 business laws every entrepreneur should know.

The first thing you should do is make sure you launch a business plan. If you haven’t listened to episode 2, then go back and listen to that episode titled “The Power of a Business Plan” so you can understand why it’s extremely important to have a business plan.

How about securing funding for your business? Go back and listen to the 3-part series on “Money. Where to Find It” which can be found from these 3 links: episode 34, episode 35, and episode 36. While you’e there, also listen to episode 37 titled “Chuck Sinks: How Do I Get Money for My Business?”

The other thing you should add to this list is to review the common business laws that could affect your business. So here is the short list, 1 through 5 of those laws you should know about:

• Business licenses
• The Fair Labor Standards Act
• The Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Law
• The Family and Medical Leave Act
• Workers Compensation requirements
